Macoupin Research Group (MRG) is an experienced, community-based, private practice, family medicine facility dedicated to conducting outpatient, Phases III, III-B and IV Clinical trials for the pharmaceutical industry. We have a trained, professional healthcare team dedicated to performing the highest quality clinical research. This commitment helps to advance the healthcare options for our patients, and accelerates the new drug development process.

MRG, located 60-minutes east of the St. Louis International Airport in tranquil country surroundings, presents a team of highly trained and dedicated medical professionals including three physicians, three Physician Assistants, and two Clinical Research Coordinators.

MRG's 6,000 square-feet facility has nine examination rooms, a well equipped lab for specimen processing, secured investigational drug storage facility, specimen refrigerators and freezers (-20°C) for lab sample storage, ample space for study material, a state-of-the-art computer network, dedicated space for study coordinators, and a comfortable reception area. Our convenient on-site diagnostic capabilities include:

  • Bone densitometry

Our principal investigators, Sub-investigators and Clinical Research Coordinators are trained in FDA Regulations and ICH God Clinical Practice Guidelines. Our Clinical Research Coordinators are also certified for the shipping of diagnostic specimens and dry ice handling.

To ensure full coverage of our research Subject's needs, MRG has two trained and experienced Clinical Research Coordinators for backup coverage. We maintain high quality and standardization across our operations through established standard operating procedures covering a broad range of topics.
